Thank you for joining us at our 2016 Reel Green evening and fundraiser!
We hope you had a wonderful time on March 10 at Reel Green. The evening was hosted by Global News reporter, Talia Ricci, and featured a series of inspiring short films celebrating our natural environment, delicious food and drink, plus incredible eco-themed prizes and auctions. We were honoured to have local films on the roster from Build Films, Ian Mauro, and Jonathan Ventura, as well as a beautiful selection of others from around Canada and the world. Thank you to all the filmmakers and speakers at the evening.
A special congratulations to winner of the 2015 Protecting Our Earth Award (the “Earthie”), the Manitoba Nature Summit. A well-deserved award for all the work they do. Be sure to stay connected to them for details about the upcoming 2016 Summit. We were also lucky to have RRC Creative Communication students Evan Bergen and Tedi Gilmartin create the POEA nominee video.
Great work and congratulations to all the nominees!
Proceeds from the evening assist us greatly in creating positive environmental action in Manitoba and beyond. Your attendance and donations support Eco-Network programming on climate change, water conservation, youth leadership, and organic yard care, as well as help us to support and promote the incredible work done by our member groups. Thank you for sharing the evening with us!
Did you win a prize from one of these fantastic donors? Lucky duck! We couldn’t have had such a wonderful evening without their support.
A tremendous thank you to all the prize and live auction donors:
4 x $100 gift certificates from handpainted rain barrel
home cleaning from White Gloves
Also NEW this year – adventure prize packs!
Go on a bison safari at FortWhyte, enjoy a day at Oak Hammock Marsh, walk gently through Manitoba flowers with Native Orchid Conservation, kickstart your spring with a cycling course from Bike Winnipeg, and much more.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of our sponsors
We look forward to seeing you at Reel Green 2017!
