Conifex is seeking a Forestry Field Crew Leader- Planning (Student Opportunity)

We have a number of rewarding seasonal (summer) positions in Fort St. James and Mackenzie,
from May till the end of August 2018 with the possibility of extension and/or renewal (2019 summer
season), available now:

Forestry Field Crew Leader- Planning (Mackenzie)
This position is for an energetic individual with layout or similar forestry field experience. We are willing to
develop the correct applicant who has initiative and willingness to learn how to manage a small field crew
(4 person crew). This individual will be a liaison between the forestry supervisor and the field crew;
creating and managing timelines and schedules for the day to day activities which may include: road and
cut block layout, timber reconnaissance, stream assessments, evaluating/assessing contractor layout, check
cruising, as well as accompanying archaeologists, fisheries biologists, and bridge engineers.

 A love of the outdoors – this position involves significant field work,
 Creative self-starters who aren’t afraid to dive in,
 Excellent interpersonal skills,
 A valid driver’s licence,
 Preference will be given to those enrolled in, or graduates of, a forestry or natural resource program.
