Announcing FortWhyte Alive’s newest event – Wine + Skis!
On Friday, March 3, we’ll be pairing a moon-lit cross-country ski on FortWhyte’s groomed trails with creative combinations of wine and cheese from our friends at the winehouse and Bothwell Cheese.
B-Y-O-Skis and join us on the trails for a guided trek though the forest, on the lookout for wildlife along the way.
Need skis? Olympia Cycle & Ski will be offering a $5 discount on rentals at their shop (with proof of ticket purchase).
Not into skiing? Join in on our guided snowshoe instead! Snowshoes will be available to borrow free of charge.
Warm up around our post-ski bonfire, and head indoors to enjoy four thoughtfully prepared creations courtesy of the Buffalo Stone Stone Cafe by Diversity Foods, matched with an inspired selection of wine. This casual culinary event is perfect for wine enthusiasts of all levels. A cash bar will also be available.
Get cheesy! The best cross-country ski outfit will win a prize package featuring a FortWhyte Alive membership along with some treats from our amazing sponsors.
This evening out in the wilderness is in support of FortWhyte Alive, making environmental education accessible to Manitoba’s youth.
This is an 18+ event.
