JOB OPPORTUNITY – Instructor I in Geology – University of Manitoba

The Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Manitoba invites application for a full-time, 2 year term appointment at the rank of Instructor I in Geology.  This position is to commence January 1, 2017.  The minimum qualification is a M.Sc. degree in Geology and a minimum of four years teaching experience in a university of equivalent position.  The responsibilities of the position are primarily in the undergraduate teaching.  The successful applicant will be required to teach first-year undergraduate courses as assigned.  Additional responsibilities include coordination of equipment for the Department’s field courses.  Experience teaching igneous petrology and field school courses, and registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Professional Geoscientist in Manitoba would be advantageous.
