The Teen Talk Program is looking for a dynamic youth-oriented presenter/facilitator. We deliver prevention education workshops and provide peer support training for youth 14 – 19. Workshops and trainings are offered in the areas of reproductive, sexual and mental health, anti-violence and substance use awareness.

 Minimum of 2 years experience working in the area of health education/promotion with youth
 Degree in health, education or the social sciences preferred
 Thorough knowledge of sexuality, reproductive health, anti-violence, mental health and substance use related issues
 Awareness of and sensitivity to issues of cultural diversity
 Awareness of and sensitivity to issues of diverse economic backgrounds
 Experience facilitating groups
 Demonstrated effective classroom management skills
 Demonstrated effective communication skills relating to youth presentations
 Ability to work in a team and independently in a professional manner
 Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
 Valid drivers license, access to a vehicle an asset and availability to travel throughout Manitoba

 Co-facilitation of health education workshops and peer support trainings throughout the province
 Assist in the research and development of workshops, resource materials and peer
support trainings
 Assist with implementing youth-directed activities in schools and the community
 Liaise with community resources and service organizations
 Work as part of a team and promote team functioning
 Participates in program planning, evaluation and quality monitoring, including completing daily statistics
 Participates in training courses and in services offered elsewhere and by Klinic in order to maintain and improve quality of service
 Attend staff meetings as required
 Participates in program planning, evaluation and quality monitoring including completing daily statistics
 Participate in formal self-evaluations by identifying strengths and limitations
 Seek appropriate supervision/consultation of own actions
 Adheres to all agency policies, protocols and promotes best practice
 Perform other duties and functions related to their job description not exceeding above state capacities
