Our client, The Winnipeg Foundation, is looking for an energetic and committed
candidate to be part of their innovative, growing, and dynamic organization in the
role of Finance Administrative Assistant. This is an administrative role within the 11-
member Finance team.
Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the position is responsible for
accounts payable, general accounting, bank deposits and general office
administration. Duties also include administrative processes and projects as well as
other administrative activities within the Finance department.
As the Finance Administrative Assistant you will:
Processes accounts and grants payable and daily banking.
Manages petty cash and electronic grantee and vendor payments.
Assists with monthly reconciliations and filing of semiannual GST returns.
Assemble agenda files for Committees (Investment and Audit) and
collaborate with others to ensure the minutes are bound annually.
Provide receptionist/switchboard coverage
Participate on internal committees as required.
Monitor and purchase office supplies and general equipment requirements.
Maintain electronic and paper files, update database records and related
spreadsheets, develop analysis, and prepare internal and external
Assists with other general office administrative duties.
You and Your Experience:
3 – 5 years’ experience in an administrative environment. Previous
experience in the charitable sector would be considered an asset.
Post-secondary education in accounting or commerce.
A solid understanding and experience in Accounts Payable.
You are an excellent communicator both in written and verbal format.
Computer literacy in MS Office Suite (especially, strong working knowledge
on MS Excel).
