Winnipeg Harvest is seeking a Warehouse Manager

GOAL: As part of the team at Winnipeg Harvest and working in support of and within the agency’s mission,
goals, objectives, policies and procedures, the goal of this position is to ensure that there is a consistent,
adequate, safe and nutritious supply of surplus food available to be distributed by Winnipeg Harvest to people in
need of food assistance, by ensuring that:
 Surplus food and food related products are collected, stored and distributed accordance with health,
fire and safety regulations.
 The system to move food to hungry people, is cost-effective, efficient and maintained,
 A food inventory, adequate to meet the needs of all agencies which receive food from Winnipeg Harvest
is maintained with in a fair share program.

 A strong belief in the dignity of all human beings and a positive and caring attitude
 Commitment to the organization’s vision of accessible, healthy and sustainable food for all
 Minimum of two years working experience as warehouse manager/ supervisor
 Ability to work as a team member and in a variety of situations
 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills –both written and oral
 Strong organizational, delegation supervisory skills
 Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
 Experience with computer systems and software (Microsoft Office)
 Valid class 5 Manitoba driver license
 Demonstrated ability to operate forklift and other warehouse equipment; a minimum of one year preferred
 Safe Food Handling and current CPR and First Aid training is an asset
 Post-secondary education and additional language(s) are assets
 Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
40 hour work week – may include some evenings and weekends as required
