Glen started as ED of MbEN in February 2019. Before that, he worked in the private sector with a local environmental software company, was the community housing and grants coordinator for an inner city neighbourhood renewal corporation and worked for various national and provincial environmental non-governmental organizations in Manitoba for almost 20 years as a campaigner and community organizer.
Emily began working at MbEN in January 2020. She has a Master’s in City Planning from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Winnipeg. She has a diverse background in community development and community-based research, and has worked on a range of issues including housing, literacy, prisoner re-entry, and refugee resettlement. She spends a lot of her free time on the Western shores of Lake Winnipeg.
Digital Engagement Coordinator
Calvin began working at MbEN in October 2020. He has as a Masters degree in City Planning from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelors in Environmental Economics from the University of Waterloo. He has an interest in transportation and land use planning, as well as planning for sustainability and resiliency in cities. In his spare time, Calvin likes travelling and exploring new neighbourhoods and cities, especially learning about an area’s history and character through the game of Pokémon GO.
Emma has been involved with MbEN since June 2019. She has an undergrad degree in Environmental Studies from Lakehead University. Emma grew up spending lots of time around Lake Simcoe, Georgian Bay, and the Great Lakes in Ontario and is a passionate environmentalist focusing on water issues, ecology, conservation, and creative communications.
