Founded in 2010, the Canadian Beverage Container Recycling Association (CBCRA) is a not-for-profit, industry-funded organization whose membership includes beverage brand owners and distributors. CBCRA is committed to reaching the government-mandated target of recovering 75% of beverage containers sold in Manitoba.
CBCRA implemented and operates the Recycle Everywhere program. Recycle Everywhere strives to educate Manitobans on beverage container recycling, and ensure that it is convenient to recycle empty beverage containers no matter where citizens live, work or play.
Job title: General Casual Staff
Time frame: Casual contract position, starting in September/October 2019. Shifts will include daytime,
evenings and weekends.
Reporting: Casual Staff reports to the Audit & Delivery Team Coordinator and/or the Street Team Coordinator depending on the work they are engaged in..
Roles & Responsibilities
Distribution of bins to single family dwellings in the city of Winnipeg
Assist with conducting waste audits
Assist with special project logistics and partnership coordination
Assist in the education of the public on beverage container recycling and its importance through promotion of the Recycle Everywhere Program
Other duties as assigned
Attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
Able to perform the physical duties of the job
Able to take initiative and exercise tact
Age of majority
Excellent conversational skills and command of English language
Ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment
Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license with access to a vehicle
Work experience in public engagement – outgoing and captivating personality
Willingness to work long shifts, overnight trips, and weekends as needed
Willing to travel throughout Manitoba for work
Clear Criminal Record & Child Abuse Registry Checks
Valid First Aid & CPR
