Geoff Gunn

Geoffrey Gunn is currently an Advisor with Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada. Trained as a geographer, Geoffrey specializes in satellite remote sensing, physical geography, and spatial data visualization. At IISD/IISD-ELA Geoffrey led institutional GIS capabilities producing maps, organizing and obtaining data, and consulting on spatial analysis for scientific and development research. Prior to joining IISD, Geoffrey studied the climate and oceanography of the Arctic with special focus in the Western Canadian Arctic, Hudson Bay, and Greenland. While completing his MSc., he acted as the Lab and Equipment Manager for the Centre for Earth Observation Science—managing and participating in Canadian and international field expeditions.
