Operations Technician – Night Shift
At Miller Environmental Corporation, we give industrial by-product waste a new life by chemically treating and processing waste and allowing it to be recycled. Miller is a 100% Canadian company which operates one of the largest waste treatment and processing facilities in Western Canada. We research, innovate and develop new methods to treat or repurpose waste and strive for the highest recovery rate of waste possible. We treat waste from all regions of Canada and the United States of America. All roads lead back to Miller.
What you will do
Miller Facility Operation Technicians work with various dangerous goods. This position is located at our Processing Facility in the RM of Montcalm on Hwy 75 & 14. Night Shift hours are Monday to Thursday 4:30 p.m. – 3:00 a.m.
Shipping & receiving of various dangerous goods including documentation and inventory management.
Consolidation, bulking or processing of industrial and household waste and plastic, in accordance with the facility’s license and TDG Regulations.
Equipment operation and maintenance of pumps, forklifts, hand tools etc.
Compliance with Miller’s Safety Management System.
Upon successful training period participation in our 24-Hour Spill Response Team.
What you will need
High School diploma.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Forklift experience and chemical knowledge a definite asset.
Physical ability to lift 50lb objects.
Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
Valid driver’s license.
