This unique park preserves the natural landscape and character of the early Metis culture. We will visit the city’s oldest cottonwood trees and hear the gorgeous birdcalls that pervade the park in June, with over 150 songbirds that find refuge here. There is also an interpretive centre, opened in August of 2016, that you can visit to read about more history of this hidden jewel in Winnipeg. Remember, this is not a guided interpretive nature hike, just a group hike to meet some new people, get outside, and have fun!"
