HIRING | Fire Operations Manager (Northern Fire Region) – Wildfire Service, Conservation and Wildfire Services (Government of Manitoba) – DEADLINE: Sunday, August 16th, 2026 (Thompson, MB)

Wildfire Service (Conservation and Wildfire Services) is seeking highly motivated individual to fill a Fire Operations Manager – Northern Fire Region position, located in Thompson, Manitoba.

Reporting to the Regional Wildfire Superintendent (RWS), and working in cooperation with Area Fire Managers, Provincial Fire Centre staff, other branches, and partner agencies, the Regional Fire Operations Manager (FOM) is responsible for planning and implementation of key aspects of the Regional wildfire management program, including prevention, detection, pre-suppression and suppression operations. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating operations in the Regional Fire Centre, Fire Warehouse, Mechanic Shop and regional training.
