WINNIPEG WANTS ACTION ON CLIMATE
The People’s Climate Mandate Calls for tangible actions to create a livable, healthy city, for everyone.
This week, the Manitoba Eco-Network held the “Community Priorities on Climate and the Environment” media event, along with eight other Winnipeg-local environment, climate, and community-based organizations.
During the media event, we outlined our 10 community-supported priorities that cover areas including the budget process, transit, community development, and more. These priorities were developed through consultation with over 200 Winnipeg residents and organizations.
77% of Winnipeggers say they are concerned about climate change and want city council to take greater action.
