The Aquatic Invasive Species Watercraft Inspector plays an integral role in enforcing Manitoba’s Aquatic Invasive Species Regulation, particularly inspecting and decontaminating watercraft and water-related equipment, communicating with and educating the public about the Province’s Aquatic Invasive Species Program; and promoting and educating the public about the stewardship practices they must employ to prevent the introduction and spread of aquatic invasive species in Manitoba. Successful candidates will be expected to work evenings and weekends including statutory holidays and outdoors in various weather conditions. Roving positions will be expected to travel throughout Manitoba for extended periods of time and coordinate site plans, and communicate with landowners and provincial staff.
Please note that in order to be considered for a roving position, candidates must meet the criteria of driving trucks and hauling trailers.
