WBCO Seed Starting Workshop, April 13th

The Manitoba Eco-Network was proud to help out with West Broadway Community Organization’s Seed Starting Workshop as part of our ongoing Climate Safe, Green City project.

Participants learned from Master Gardener, Igor Kaftan, how to successfully grow plants from seed for transplanting to outdoor gardens. Afterwards, the group worked together to plant seedlings that will be grown at WBCO’s office for donation and for use in the community gardens this summer!

This was made possible by funding from the Government of Manitoba for the CSGC project, and MbEN staff (along with our volunteer team) had a great experience – it was an excellent way to kick off the start of the growing season.
