Event Report: What’s Next for Manitoba?

In November 2023, the Navigating the Law: What’s Next for Manitoba? event was hosted by the Manitoba Eco-Network, The University of Winnipeg, and the Public Interest Law Centre. It took place at the St. Boniface Library in Winnipeg, Manitoba, as part of the Navigating the Law to Protect the Environment Project: Part 2.

The event aimed to gather experts, legal professionals, and community members to discuss the future of environmental law in Manitoba. It focused on identifying legal tools desired for use in the province and fostering discussions about environmental law reform and advocacy. Forty participants attended, including citizens, academic experts, and representatives from various environmental and legal organizations.
